Being a girl my usual tipple is more along the line of a Bacardi and coke or a glass of wine but every now and again I enjoy a beer. I can't just drink any beer though and to tell the truth most of them I find to be fairly disgusting but Corona Extra is much lighter than normal beers and I really enjoy a glass of this. You will be able to recognise a bottle of Corona fairly easy, the bottle is clear and has a black and white label on the front with the name Corona Extra in big letters and some further information on the drink in smaller lettering. Unlike most beers this one does not leave a bitter after taste my fiancée says this is because the beer ... Read the complete review

Even though these days I seem to be becoming more of a fan of sturdy imported European beers, every now and then - especially in the summer months - I like to refresh with a Corona Extra. Corona Extra is a light beer, hailing from Mexico, with an alcohol content of 4.6%. It is usually served with a slice of lime wedged in the neck, and there are many myths for the reason for this, ranging from keeping flies out of the bottle, to masking changes in colour and taste due to degredation from light, but to be honest, I think it is more of a gimmick thing, as apparently though it's not uncommon in Mexico, it's not considered mandatory. I started drinking ... Read the complete review

Being the geek that I am I like have random knowledge about things other people would not give a second thought to. I was having a surf through DooYoo and came across Corona and remembered some things I learnt a long time ago. Corona used to be what me and the ladies would have as our getting ready to go out drinks. Not too much alcohol and a smooth taste. Ever wondered what the lime is for? I was told by a man in a pub once that if you weren't drinking a Corona with a lime then you weren't drinking it properly and wouldn't be appreciating the full taste of the drink. It is said that the original reason for placing the lime in the bottle neck was to prevent ... Read the complete review

When it comes to lager and beer`s I am very much a anything goes kind of guy but there is a couple I prefer to others and one of those is Corona (although the guy`s I drink with all hate it). The first time I ever tried a bottle was after seeing a big advert for it in a club we were in, not only was it cheaper than others but they rated it as very refreshing and as I was genuinely thirsty and very, very warm. It is a more refreshing drink then many beers and lagers but it is still not something I would class as very refreshing. It has a crisper lighter taste and makes a lovely shandy with lots of lemonade if you happen to be driving or just cutting down on the ... Read the complete review

Billed as the ultimate party beer and Mexico’s top selling beer it seemed worth a try on a night out to a pub which seemed to cater for the slightly different taste and did not have any of the beers or lagers I would normally drink. I can honestly tell you I have never tasted anything like it and I don’t mean that in a complimentary way either. The bottle ======== All starts very well with a simple yet attractive looking bottle, virtually all clear with only the one label on the front which is white and black and carry`s the name of the beer (corona extra) and a few more bits of info such as the country of origin (Mexico) and the alcohol content ...
