When I'm in the mood for trying something different (In terms of lager) I generally browse the single bottles sections in the supermarkets to find a couple of 'new' lagers to try. Recently I decided to give Corona Extra a try, which turned out to be a wise choice. Its a very smooth and refreshing lager. It has a smooth, crisp taste and a pleasant after taste. I only drank it on its own, so I couldn't tell you what it would be like with a meal, although I think it would be good. The flavour isn't overpowering so would complement a meal rather then 'fighting' it. Given that its a mexican beer, I think it would be good with a plate of tortillas or nachos. This beer would be particularly good on a lazy sunday afternoon (Forgive the cliche!), although I think it would be good any time you fancy a beer. I will definitely be buying more of this lager, and would advise anyone to give it a try. Just for the record, I found this lager in Asdas.
