Advantages: Natural ingredients and flavours

Disadvantages: Best enjoyed on it's own, not cheap!

I actually bought this by mistake. It was shelved among the ales in Sainsbury's and, not reading the label thoroughly, expected it to be a ginger-infused ale along the lines of Badger's Blandford Fly.

In fact, it's not an ale at all, but a traditionally brewed alcoholic ginger beer. Initially, I was surprised by it's sweetness, but it's actually a lot less sweet than most non-alcoholic ginger beers. The ginger is fiery, but that is to be expected and enjoyed, and it combines beautifully with the alcohol content (4%) to produce a lovely warming sensation whilst remaining very refreshing.

You can really taste the fact that it is made with natural ingredients, which really seperates it from the alcopop genre, and it is perfect for a warm, summer evening. I'm finding it hard to think of foods to recommend it with; it is probably best enjoyed on it's own.

I may have bought this by accident the first time, but I'll definitely be buying it again!

Summary: Lucky for me this was misshelved!

short but sweet but had enough about the taste for me to make it VU. i also thought it was an ale at first because of where it was placed.
