Not Cherry, just wrong., (Diet Cherry Coke)

Another Drink review from your permanently thirsty correspondent. Working in a call centre talking all day, surrounded by computers that kick out loads of heat makes me constantly thirsty. The drink vending machines in the office do a roaring trade, infact a large amount of wages is probably recouped through them.

Recently the office has been so hot, and so busy, that most of the drinks have been sold out most of the time. This was what lead me to try Diet Coke with Cherry.

Now I'm not a big fan of Diet Coke to begin with, it is a bit too watery and insipid to be honest. I was hot and had a dry mouth though, and it was the only drink left in the machine - so I fed in my change and took my chances...

To me Diet Coke is little better than fizzy brown water, so I was surprised I could actually taste something with the Cherry version. The flavour was very sweet and chemical, as artifical as a Hollywood smile. It was not an unpleasant taste, but it definately seemed "wrong". I love cherry, and most cherry flavour foods, but this is the exception. I'll drink it if there is nothing else and I'm thirsty, but I wouldn't pick it if I had a choice.

Summary: I don't like Diet Coke, and the cherry version isn't any better.
