Advantages: Really good taste
Disadvantages: Leaves a little residue
Coco Cola, yet another thing that I have too much of in my diet, it's one of the U.K's favourite drinks and I can see why. It has a great taste which is different to any other fizzy drink out there. Some people say Pepsi is the same but it is just similar, it's not so sweet which I guess means it's better for your teeth.
I have lately taken to drinking the diet version of Coke because it is better for me and I really am trying to cut back on my sugar intake. I know that the best way to do this would be to cut coke out completely and I don't drink it that much but when I do I'd rather make it a little healthier than the normal one so I do drink the diet version and to be honest I think it tastes just as good as the normal stuff. I think my favourite Coke has to be the Coke & Lemon variety but to be honest I like most of the flavours except vanilla.
Diet Cherry Coke comes in a normal coke bottle, you all know what that looks like, 500ml with a red top and a label around the middle. In this case the label is silver because it's the diet version. It has the Coke logo on the front of the label in the usual red colour and a picture of a cherry next to the logo. On the back are the ingredients and the nutritional information.
Ingredients:
Carbonated Water, Flavourings (including Caffeine), Colour (Caramel E150d), Citric Acid, Sweeteners (Aspartame, Acesulfame K), Phosphoric Acid, Acidity Regulator (E331), Tartaric Acid, Contains a source of Phenylalanine
Each 100ml contains:
1 Calorie
0g of Protein
0g of Carbohydrate
0g of which sugars
0g Fat
0g of which saturates
A trace of Fibre
A trace of Sodium (Salt to us normal people)
As you can see it isn't that bad for you really and it is sugar free but I'm guessing that as it's coke it isn't good for you either, I'm sure that most of you have heard about what a good toilet cleaner it is which makes it a pretty scary thing to be drinking.
It does taste like normal coke except that it sticks to your teeth a little bit less. It does of course still leave a small amount of residue but not as much as standard coke leaves. It also has a very sweet taste of cherry, it doesn't seem to taste of real cherries but certainly lives up to the synthetic taste of them that is often found in sweets etc.
Overall this is a nice bottle of coke especially as it only cost me 92p for 500ml from Tesco. It's also available in can form and in 2litre bottles for a little bit more money. I drink this when I need to stay awake as it does still contain some caffeine and it's great as a treat but I wouldn't recommend giving it to kids too often.
Summary: Try it it's good

- 06/08/08 good review...however ti is of belief that diet coke is worse for you than regular coke, as the sugar replacement can cause cancer...hopefully this is not true...once again..nice review - i love cherry cola |
