The title for this review was inspired by the countless times I had to laugh uproariously at the vacuous twerps who cracked the 'JD and fat coke' line we bar staff are oh so fond of. And also for the many times I simply stared with the blank look of the newly lobotomised, until they sheepishly explained their ‘joke’. Sometimes it's not fun and games standing behind a bar being hit on by the over 60s all day for minimum wage. Sometimes. And yet often you can have all the pub cola you like. Well not often actually, sometimes you have to steal it, and I don't do that because of what a fine upstanding citizen I am. Sometimes the boss paid, and the lemon was always ... I remember the days when the only choice to be made when you fancied a can of Cola was whether you preferred Pepsi or Coke. In today?s market you can have your Cola with the caffeine removed or the sugar substituted, you can have it flavoured with cherry or laced with a hint of vanilla, you can even try it with a tinge of Lemon which is where I find myself today with a six pack of Diet Coke with Lemon in the fridge and a review of the brew ready to be written. You see I have one of those mini drinks fridges next to my computer tower so I don?t have to move when I fancy a drink, the fridge of course needs to be ... Read the complete review

Every time I am in a pub and ordering a Diet Coke, they always say "do you want lemon in that?" I always say yes, so these canse are ideal. Basically, it's diet coke with lemon in it! There are 3 great things about this drink 1) It's sugar free: I know people say that the other sweetners are even worst, but at the end of the day this is the official drink of the Slimming World diet, which makes it good enough for me. It's one of the few tasty sweet things that is sugar free in this world, and I love that! 2) The caffeine - as a teacher and parent to two boys under two I regularly need a caffeine boost to give me energy, and ... I used to drink cola quite a bit, well Pepsi to be exact, then I saw on a TV programme how much sugar (I think it was as much as a cup and half) goes in to each can and I began to think that this was not a healthy drink! I wasn't put off drinking it all together and I tried the Diet version, to my surprise I actually preferred the taste it was slightly less sweet and it didn't seem to be a thick in consistency so you teeth would apparently get coated with a film of sticky chemical, mind you with all the added chemicals and the high acidity I still don?t think it does you much good. Over the years I drink lees and less of the stuff but on the odd ... Read the complete review

I don’t actually drink much in the way of fizzy drinks but when I do succumb, I usually go for Diet Coke, so when I seen Diet Coke with Lemon in the cooler at RS McColl’s, I felt obligated to give it a go. **BACKGROUND INFO** Made by Coca-Cola and Schweppes, the company responsible for Coca-Cola, the biggest selling brand of fizzy drink sold throughout the world, even here in Scotland, it has overtaken our very own Irn-Bru, what are all the neds and nedette’s thinking of then, abandoning their national drink to converse with the enemy lol??? I suppose Coke and Irn Bru are similar in that they are both very sugary indeed, one ... Read the complete review
