The title for this review was inspired by the countless times I had to laugh uproariously at the vacuous twerps who cracked the 'JD and fat coke' line we bar staff are oh so fond of. And also for the many times I simply stared with the blank look of the newly lobotomised, until they sheepishly explained their ‘joke’. Sometimes it's not fun and games standing behind a bar being hit on by the over 60s all day for minimum wage. Sometimes. And yet often you can have all the pub cola you like. Well not often actually, sometimes you have to steal it, and I don't do that because of what a fine upstanding citizen I am. Sometimes the boss paid, and the lemon was always ... I remember the days when the only choice to be made when you fancied a can of Cola was whether you preferred Pepsi or Coke. In today?s market you can have your Cola with the caffeine removed or the sugar substituted, you can have it flavoured with cherry or laced with a hint of vanilla, you can even try it with a tinge of Lemon which is where I find myself today with a six pack of Diet Coke with Lemon in the fridge and a review of the brew ready to be written. You see I have one of those mini drinks fridges next to my computer tower so I don?t have to move when I fancy a drink, the fridge of course needs to be .. Read the complete review

I am one of those people that can't really tell the difference between diet and full fat coke, as long as it is a quality brand, E.G. real coca cola, then it doesn't make too much difference. Therefore for health reasons I always buy diet coke. I also always buy coke in cans, as if I buy a whole bottle it tends to be flat before I drink it. I only really drink a can per week. Recently when I was doing my tescos shopping I spotted cans if diet coke with lemon in. I love adding a bit of lemon or lime to my glass of coke, so I thought I would try these and see if it saved me the extra work and buying the piece of fruit too! The price was approx £2.80 for 6 cans, ... Read the complete review

This version of diet coke has been out for quite some time now and I have only just tried it. Another addition to the coke family, I have to say I think thats its a great idea. This product is available in a 330ml can which will cost you some where in the region of 50 - 60p. You can also buy the 500ml bottle which will cost you about £1 and also in 1.5 - 2 litre which will cost considerably more. I have always prefered tinned coke though as I really do think that it holds the taste better even though you tend to lose the fizziness a lot faster. I was given a free can of this coke at a recent running event, it was in the goody bag at the end so I ... Read the complete review

Previous readers of my reviews may well know that I enjoy a fizzy drink or two and that I like to try new things so when I saw diet Coke with lemon (a while back now) I had to go ahead and try it. I don't dislike diet drinks but I do way prefer a full sugar version but there was just something that made me think this would be a very refreshing drink and I do enjoy a slice of lemon in a vodka and coke so it was a taste I thought I would like very much but It wasn't how I had imagined it to be at all. Diet fizzy drinks are well known for being very frothy when not ice cold but even ice cold this one was pretty much just a tin of froth, it went into ... Read the complete review
