The Diet Coke with Lemon range isn't the easiest to find lying around, but it is a rather pleasant mix, especially for a brand of drinks (diet) that are often infamous for being lacking in taste. This is a sugar-free version of the Coke we all know and love, and surprisingly it actually tastes quite nice - the Lemon tinge somewhat disguises any taste in difference anyway, although I'm a tad skeptical about the assorted sweeteners used instead of sugar, and whether they're really much healthier than just using sugar?

Not to mention, despite the Diet label, it's still got a bunch of caffeine in it, which isn't especially good for dieters, I imagine. I'm not particularly bothered myself as I'm not dieting, but in reviewing a product as fit for its purpose, I find their intentions questionable if it's still loaded with so many other bad ingrediants.

That aside, the product actually tastes rather nice indeed - I've had Coke with Lemon in pubs quite regularly, and this diet, no less CANNED version is actually quite similar in taste. The lemon adds quite harmoniously to the drink a certain kick, and livens up a diet drink that can sometimes just not really live up to the greatness of the original drink.

Despite being a little known drink, they are always on offer whenever I see them in a supermarket. It makes it worth it if you're a dieter because whilst they're only about 50p each, a 20-pack multipack is as little as £5, which is an absurdly cheap price for a "specialist" variety of drink. In fact, I rarely see regular coke this cheap! You dieters are getting it so good!

In conclusion, for dieters, it may cut down on your sugar count, but I'm a little unconvinced how much better it is for you overall.

Summary: More substitution than anything?
