~~~~~Diet Coke Addiction~~~~ I was not quite fond of diet coke before I met my husband. I found him a real fan of it the very first day and after that I don’t know when, I fell in love with diet coke too. Now we buy the 15 can pack every 5 days or so. Is this a symptom of addiction? Coca cola is one of my favourite drinks, but wasn't for a long time till I watched how they make their drinks, it totally put me off. But it did not 100% stop me, whenever I get the chance, I always buy a coke. Coca-cola has been there since the 19th century, which is more than a 100 years ago. I have loved fizzy drinks ever since I can remember and Diet Coke would definitely have to be one of my favourites. I have been drinking it for years, sometimes up to four cans a day. I think I may be a little bit addicted to it. Ever since I have become pregnant however, I have cut this down to on average one can a day which was hard going! Caffeine is not good for pregnant women as it can cause low weight or premature babies so drink it in moderation if you are expecting. OK....let me start by being honest! If regular Coca Cola didn't have a zillion calories then I most certainly wouldn't be reviewing Diet Coke because I wouldn't be drinking it. Diet Coke does not taste as good as Coca Cola and I struggle with believing anyone that thinks that it does (although I guess we're all individuals!). Having said that, I DO drink Diet Coke every day simply because Coca Cola does have so many calories and so much sugar and so it really isn't a good idea to be drinking it at all. I am not a fan of diet coke at all, but that doesn't exactly mean it is a bad product. I just have tainted logic. Carbonated drinks are bad for you either way, so if I am going to have something that is bad for me, I always think, well, I may as well do it right. I like my carbonated drinks delicious, refreshing and tasty. I prefer proper Coca Cola rather than diet coke; the 1 calorie appeal in diet coke doesn't appeal to me at all, but it may for some people. It is the taste that does it for me.
