*The company
The coca cola group was first invented way back on the 8th of May 1886 by a gentleman called Dr John Styth Pemberton, Baack then Coca cola was selling an average of 9 drinks a day netting them an impressive $50 that year. Look at today's sales, Coca cola sell more than one billion drinks in a 24 hour period in over 200 countries. IT was not until 1900 that the UK had its first taste of Coco cola, when it was sold through soda fountains in places such as Selfridges. In 1999 Coca Cola purchased Schweppes which seen the range increase to include drinks such as Dr Pepper, Fanta, and many others. Between 1999 and 2004 Coca Cola seen their sales increase dramatically which resulted in them being able to announce that in Great Britain there sales where at an all time high of 54% of the soft drinks industry.

*Diet Coke and the taste
I have bought diet coke for a long time and even when I am buying it on the tap I always ask for Diet coke, it's not because I am on a diet nor do I have a medical condition that requires me to drink diet juice.
Diet coke has to be consumed whilst ice cold in my opinion or it will not tastes like it usually does, Ideally just out of the fridge and in the can format is best. Taken the first drink from the can you're presently surprised that the cola is not as fizzy as its counterpart, it's a smooth refreshing drink that gets to the thirst without you having to drink the entire can/bottle. Initially when you open the can and smell the juice it's very sweet and as the can settles that smell seems to calm down.
Obviously no fizzy juice is good for you but Diet Cola is a lot better for you over the traditional cola which contains so many more calories and lot more sugar. Diet cola has zero fat within in and typical can of Diet cola 330ml contains 1.5 calories which is amazing for the taste.
As I have said I have drank Diet Cola for many years now and the only down fall I find is that when I drink it on an empty stomach it can give me some pains. I know it's not advisable to do so but I do from time to time.
Diet coke like all drinks can become addictive so remember and take in to consideration that it contains no sugar, fat, carbohydrates, protein or fibre. So it does not provide you with what you need. I am a firm believer that fizzy drinks are to be looked upon as a treat.
*Packaging and Cost
Diet Coke comes in many formats -
150ml mixer can size, 250ml bottles, 500ml Bottles, 1ltr Bottles, 1.5ltr bottles, 2ltr Bottles,
Most of the above sizes come in multipack too-
For the benefit of my review I have covered the standard 330ml can
330ml can is in stylish silver can which can be recycled - there is lots of relevant information on the side of the can which relates too ingredients and also provides you with a free phone number should you need to contact Coca Cola. Prices vary so much with this product. Most vending machines are 50p -60p, retailers can vary from 25p (farm foods) to 80p (shell). Very often you will see major retailers offering deals such as BOGOF. Cans come single or part of multipacks.
*Thoughts- I have always been annoyed that the price varies so much from shop to shop for the same product, I certainly do not mind paying a extra penny or too but some retailers are double others. I think this its self proves Diet coke is a very popular drink.
*Final Thoughts
I will continue to buy and drink diet cola, the company is one that you can trust to provide an excellent tasting product. Diet Cola is a relatively cheap drink, widely available throughout the world and very refreshing. I will certainly have no problems what so ever recommending the drink to adults. Remember that fizzy drinks should not be given to children all the time. I would always suggest that Coca Cola products are stored in the fridge and served old.
