Diet Coke is just as good as the original Coac Cola but it isn't as sweet and is much healthier for you with no sugar and just sweeteners. It comes in plastic bottles including 500ml and 2 litre ones at 97p and £1.56 respectively. You can even buy a pack of 4 2 litre bottles for £5.09, which works out a lot cheaper.

The bottles have a silver label round them, which signifies they are from the diet coke range. It says 'Diet' in black just above the red 'Coke' logo. Per 100ml, there is just 1 calorie so this drink is very thirst-quenching but doesn't add on the calories, which is great as drinks are primarily for hydrating yourself, not adding on calories and rotting your teeth.

The bottles are fairly easy to open and handle although the big ones require two hands when pouring a drink, as you need to support it. The actual drink is black just like Coca Cola. It has a fizzy texture as it's carbonated and it has the classic Coca Cola taste. It still tastes sweet with the addition of sweeteners but with no sugar, you won't be adding on the calories and rotting your teeth so much. However, additions such as citric acid are bad for your teeth, as you'll get acid erosion. The ingredients are as follows:

Carbonated Water, Colour (Caramel E150d), Sweeteners (Aspartame, Acesulfame K), Flavourings (Including Caffeine), Phosphoric Acid, Citric Acid, Preservative (E211).

There are currently deals on at Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys where you can get two 2 litre bottles for a cheaper price. It's an excellent drink and it tastes just the same as coke - just about as sweet but it's a lot healthier for anyone, whether you are dieting or not. I'd highly recommend it as it's very tasty and thirst-quenching too and a much healthier option!
