Disadvantages: Goes flat too quickly
I personally prefer Pepsi to Coke but I was out the other day and Coke was all that was available in diet drinks, being diabetic meant it was Diet Coke or nothing so I bought a bottle, I don't dislike Diet Coke I just don't think its as good as its rival Pepsi.
Diet Coke is sold in a plastic curvy shaped bottle that is instantly recognised as a a Coca Cola bottle. The bottle is textured around the bottom half and has the Coca Cola logo moulded into the plastic. The lid is a simple screw top and has Coke Zone written on it, this refers to www.cokezone.co.uk where you can win prizes and get freebies. The bottle has a small label around the middle which informs the customer that this sugar free diet Coke. The nutritional information is also given per 100ml's and states that this amount of Diet Coke contains just 0.5 calorie. The label also gives the ingredients and a little bit of detail about the product and bottle which is 100% recyclable excluding the lid and label.
Just like Pepsi the taste of Diet Coke is hard to describe, it smells quite fruity but the taste is just coke! I think Diet Coke is less sweet than Pepsi and definitely less fizzy, if I'm going to have a fizzy drink I like it to be really fizzy, Diet Coke, in my opinion, tends to go flat very quickly and need drinking straight away, I also think Diet Coke has a slightly bland watery after taste.
Having said that though I don't dislike Diet Coke it does make a refreshing drink and isn't too bad as a mixer it just seems a bit weaker and less sweet than Pepsi.
Diet Coke is available in most shops, pubs, and just about anywhere that sells drinks. Tesco are currently selling a 2 litre bottle for £1.98 Asda and Waitrose are the same. If you like Coca Cola and are dieting or have to follow a sugar free diet then this might well suit you. but in my personal opinion its just not as good as Pepsi.
Summary: A nice drink but Im more of a Pepsi girl
