Advantages: tasty, refreshing
Disadvantages: sugary
Every single person I know, knows one thing for sure about me and that is that Pepsi is my favourite drink, Max, regular but most of all DIET Pepsi. Most of you will think this is because I am paranoid about weight issues, etc. Seriously though it isn't there is just something much nicer about the taste of Diet Pepsi.
PepsiCo, Inc. was founded in 1965 through the merger of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay. In 2001 Pepsi joined with Quaker Oats to create the world's fifth largest food and drink company. This is a bit of history on the company, not as old as Coca Cola. Some people say that Pepsi copy Coca Cola, maybe they do but I personally feel what ever they copy them on, be it a lime twist, lemon twist or diet flavour they do it with a much sharper and refreshing taste.
So when shopping instantly you go to the drinks aisle and you will see Pepsi. I like to drink it out of a can. These are 330ml and are very filling. What I find with cans, that I don't with the 500ml bottle's is that they tend to keep their sharp fizziness where as the fizz runs straight out of the bottle quickly leaving it flat, there is nothing worse than flat Pepsi.
So, the can itself is a silver aluminium can with a ringpull that you pull up and push down to create the hole where you will drink out of. The can has the blue Pepsi text and underneath in red says light. The regular logo which has only been digitally enhanced a little is behind the text, the circle with the red top white centre and blue bottom half, the true American colours. Then below, their slogan great taste. Under this it says 1 calories, it may sound good but there are acids and sugars which are high in this.
The taste itself, very fizzy. The brown liquid fizzing away at first hits sharp, is faintly sweet. The taste is hard to describe but I suppose I would say the taste was sugary, it is refreshing but very addictive, although I will say it does keep me more awake after drinking it. It is very fizzy but still it tastes great. A lot of people say about Diet Pepsi, they prefer it because it is less frothy and more actual drink unlike regular Pepsi.
The company itself is very well known. Worldwide I notice it being a very popular drink, Europeans like their Coca Cola but in America Pepsi is very popular.
Pepsi, when it comes to advertising have done better for themselves with memorable faces advertising the company. They have had the likes of Britney Spears, Beyone, Pink, David Beckham and all televised. The fact they can pay out millions to all of these people surely means they aren't poor and are doing something right.
You can buy Pepsi cans, bottles, individually in local stores, supermarkets, bakers anywhere for roughly 60p a can and bottles 90p. Then, in supermarkets you can buy multipacks of the cans for a couple of pounds. You can also by the 2 litre bottle which is also called Pepsi Diet not light on offer a lot lately and for about £1.20.
I am a loyal Pepsi drinker, on hot days like tody I will happily gulp down a can of Pepsi as I am doing now while also describing the taste. The light hitting off the rim of the can. I will always drink this and the day Pepsi come to me to do an ad campaign I'll be ready for them.

- 03/10/05 I like the diet stuff because with normal pepsi you can really taste the sugar and it makes your teeth feel nasty, it tastes nice though. x |

- 02/10/05 I'm a pepsi max addict myself. I'd take the pepsi challenge any day and know that I'd be able to recognise the product straight away! Cheers. Christina ;-) x |
