Dooley's Toffee Liqueur

Flowing from the bottle and served over ice the first thing you notice is the kick of the Vodka and I have to say this took me by surprise. I had expected a smooth taste but the Vodka hits you like a brick, it's only after a second or two that the Toffee flavouring comes through and then the two tastes combine to give a sweet and creamy sensation in your mouth. Being fond of Vodka and Toffee anyway but never trying the two together I was surprised...more

I don't write many alcohol reviews, which is strange really, seem as though youth is supposed to be about drinking, dancing, being generally wild and having fun! Although it is true that you can have fun without drinking, the odd tipple every now and again can do no harm can it :) Now usually when I drink, I like to drink Alco pops. You know the ones: Smirnoff, Reef, Hooch etc. However a few years ago I got more into the heavier stuff. It became a tradition to drink neat vodkas wherever I went. Now don?t get me wrong I wasn?t an alcoholic but when I drank I drank! Now I?m getting ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Go Doolally for Dooleys (747 words)

I got a bottle of this for Christmas and its one of the best liqueurs I've tasted, along with Baileys of course! My bottle came in a presentation pack with 6 toffee tipper glasses (cute little round glasses like Weebles (remember them???) that can fall nearly all the way over and not spill a drop!) that were especially designed for the Dooleys drink and a recipe booklet. Dooley's was first introduced in December 2000 but it's only the in the last 12 months or so that it's become available just about everywhere. The tagline for Dooley's is 'Vodka Toffee: Not for the sweet and innocent' - well, I'm definately not sweet or innocent ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dooley's Toffee Liqueur: Dooleys made me Drool... (534 words)

Not so long ago I read and rated a review by CheekyCharlie08 over this toffee liqueur from Dooley's and at the time I thought to myself how nice it sounded. Deciding at the time that this would be a drink to get in for Christmas I kept this in mind and as I bought our Christmas booze last week I also bought a bottle of this in. Bottled as shown in the picture above the design is eye-catching and appealing, the bottle tells me that it is a Vodka and Toffee Cream liqueur and has a quite-high alcohol content of 17%. I already had a pre-conceived idea as to how this would taste and assumed it would be similar to the other well enjoyed creamy liqueur - Baileys. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Smooth and Sexy Dooleys (361 words)

Dooley's is a creamy liqueur made with Vodka and toffee and cream and was first produced and made available in 2000, it originates from Germany but is currently sold in over 60 countries around the world. It has a fairly high alcoholic content and is 17% and claims to have less than 50% fat compared to many other cream liqueurs. I first came across Dooley's in my local pub a few years ago when one of the bar staff who is also a friend encourage me to try it telling me it tasted like Baileys. So after a little persuasion (I love Vodka, so wasn't hard really to persuade me!) I tried it and am glad that I did. It does taste like ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dooley's Toffee Liqueur: Toffee Liqueur at it's Best (298 words)

Dooley's Toffee Liqueur is a real treat indeed for anybody that's a fan of sweet liqueurs. It's a vodka based liqueur that contains 17% alcohol, combined with cream and toffee caramel flavours. It isn't sold in my local Tesco anymore which is a shame, but maybe that's because it's a drink that a lot of people only have at Christmas? It's still stocked by my local off licence though, so it's a good place to look for it if you want to buy some yourself. You can expect to pay around £12 for a 70cl bottle but prices vary a lot out side of the supermarket of course. Dooley's Toffee Liqueur is really thin and smooth to drink. The rich, creamy taste ...  Read the complete review
