The coffee is a slowly roasted South American coffee and has a beautiful aroma. There is a real challenge getting the blue bag open, but I suppose it does mean that the bag is definitely airtight. We have only had our cafetiere coffee maker for a couple of months so we are still trying different coffee makes to see which we prefer. We decided to buy our cafetiere after our recent stay near Edinburgh where almost everywhere our coffee was served in cafetieres and we really liked this. We wish now that we had asked which coffee they used, particularly at the Prestongrange Industrial Museum where we had the best coffee.
