Advantages: Great if you like strong coffee

Disadvantages: Too strong for me and a bit expensive

Douwe Egberts Pure Gold Coffee is very different from what i am used to. My mum brought me some when it was on special offer so i have four jars sat in my cupboard (slowly getting used up).

Douwe Egberts Pure Gold Coffee comes in a 200g or 100g glass jars with a pull up and push down lid. The label on the jar is a goldy brown colour and has a picture of a women smelling a cup of coffee on the back of the label it tells you a little about the company and storage instructions, along with manuafactures details.

As the glass jar that the coffee come in i was looking quite forward to trying this out as it all looked very posh. I opened the jar and got a nice strong aroma of coffee, made my cuppa and sat at my computer ready to come on and have a look on DooYoo.

I am not someone who likes strong coffee infact i usually only put about half a teaspoon in my cup, so i made this in the same way. The coffee has a very strong taste even for Gold coffee which is usually a lighter taste, the granuals are quite big and it makes your coffee go a bit frothy at the top.

This coffee costs between £3.50 and £5.00 depending on what size jar you go for.

I do not think i would buy this myself but I will finish all the jars off that my mum brought me (waste not want not) it seems a bit pricey for what it is.

I have found out though the glass jars come in handy for storing lentils and rice in though.

Summary: Don't mind drinking it but i would not pay for it
