Advantages: refreshing, fruity and different.
Disadvantages: Full of calories!
I like a ice cold glass of Coke and I enjoy other soft drinks like Tango and & 7 up but there is one drink that I always forget about and then I see either a tin or a bottle of it on a shops shelf like I did yesterday and I have just got to have some.
The drink in question is DR Pepper, yes it might have a very strange name as it has nothing to do with pepper (or doctors for that matter) but it tastes delicious and it is a very different and very refreshing drink.
DR Pepper has to be served ice cold as it is very frothy and not as nice tasting otherwise but when ice cold it is a fantastic fruity flavoured soft drink with a bit of mystique to it, the old adverts used to say it was misunderstood and I think that is very much the case, one of my grandkids won't drink it simply because of the name.
In America you can buy DR Pepper in different varieties such as with vanilla, a berry flavour or even DR Pepper with chocolate which sounds awful. I will leave all those alone but I do love the original version and would recommend it to anyone looking for a change from the usual soft drinks.
Price wise it is on a par with the other soft drinks, around 60p for a tin or £1.60 for a 2 litre bottle unless on offer. Unfortunately it is also on a par with them regarding calories and the low calorie version of DR Pepper is horrid so you have to take care how much of this stuff you choose to enjoy otherwise you will pile on the pounds.

Summary: Well worth trying if you have not yet!
