I am detoxing at the moment so I am not eating any processed goods, animal products or drinking any caffeine or alcohol. I am also trying to get my dissertation finished. I am stressed and can not reach out for comfort food. I am allowed herbal and fruit teas and when not drinking pints of water I am downing mugs of tea by the gallon. One brand especially took my fancy. These were the Tranquility teas from Dr Stuart?s Botanical Tea range. I was debating between these and the Ginger and Apple ones from the same range but these won. I'm stressed, what a day! Firstly I came home at around 3.00p.m after having an Indian Head massage to relieve the stress to find my step son in the back yard when he should have been at school. Apparently he had his school shoes taken while he was doing PE, he tells me they cannot wear trainers so he had to come home. Upon phoning the school it transpires that he had left without their permission! Next I could hear the cat meowing frantically but I couldn't see him. A lot of nonsense and rubbish has been written over the years about the hocus pocus powers of herbal teas and infusions. I never believed any of it and as a skeptic was put off the whole idea. Once in a while a friend would offer me a cup or sip of some foul tasting brew which would “do wonders” for me – like make me gag or feel nauseous. A couple of months ago I had an epiphany while stressing out over some exam revision.
