Advantages: Nice toasted coffee flavour

Whilst Dreher Classic is a beer made for easy drinking with no tastes to make even the weedy wince, Dreher Bak is a heavy dark dunkel bock style beer of 7.3% ABV but still retains some of the Classic's character in that they have created a tasty dark beer whilst minimalising the amount of bitterness which is so common in such beers. This makes it (as you may have guessed..) very palatable.

Having already gone in to a bit of detail about Dreher as a brewery on the Dreher Classic review, you can go there to read that! Dreher Bak comes in a 0.5l or 0.33l bottle and has a dark brown coloured bottle with a red label across it. The taste is a mixture of caramel, coffee and chocolate and of course alcohol, there is a distinct smoky, roasted, toasted flavour to it which does not lead to acidic bitterness.

It pours a thick strong brown colour with a white head and shows very little or no carbonation. It's very drinkable but does leave quite a sweet aftertaste like you've been gargling with chocolate.
