Me and my mum are huge fans of tea and coffee , and we both have cupboards bulging with different varieties . So, when we spotted Drink Me Chai (Vanilla Variety) on sale in Tesco , we snapped up a pack to try . This is a Chai Latte - according the the packet a mixture of sweetened tea, skimmed milk, and exotic spices. With this being the Vanilla variety, theres obviously some of that in there too . Chai as a drink originates in india , and unlike many of the trendy coffee varieties, it just doesn't seem to have hit the big time in the UK coffee bar and restaurant scene yet . Essentially, its milky tea with the addition of exotic spices, such as ... Read the complete review

Drink Me Chai: Vanilla is not the runaway success I hope it would be - at least not where I live - as I can only find it as ALDI in a forlorn wire basket all by itself. It should be popular and so, I bring you this review! Drink Me Chai is a great idea, the only place you tend to find it is upmarket (expensive!) coffee shops and it's not usually the most tempting drink on offer so most people have not drank chai or know the history of it. Chai is a spiced tea with cinnamon, cardamon, cloves and ginger that originates from India. It's traditionally a very strong tasting tea but this product is much milder and drinkable. My housemate first introduced me to this drinknot long ago. At first I thought I wouldn't like it because I am a huge fan of my good ol' cuppa tea and I don't usually like these manufactured, powdery drinks. This however, is very different and very tasty. Drink me chai comes in spicy flavour and vanilla flavour and both are delicious (although I am slightly more partial to a cup of the vanilla one). It is similar to hot chocolate in that it is a powder that you mix with hot water (4 teaspoons to be exact). You don't need milk or anything which is very handy if you haven't had a chance to get to the shop and are in need of a hot drink. ... Read the complete review

I picked this up on a random Sainsbury's shop in the vague hopes that it would taste like coffee shop chai lattes. Subsequently, I've been buying a new pot every week! This is seriously good tea and I make everyone who comes to visit me drink some. It's really easy to make too which is an added bonus; you simply spoon the mixture into a cup and pour hot water over it. The best thing about it is that it's caffeine free; I find that I can't drink normal tea past 9pm or I won't sleep properly (decaffeinated tea is made of pure evil, by the way). I find that it's nicer than hot chocolate - for me, hot chocolate always sits rather heavily on the stomach, whereas this is nice ... Read the complete review
