Advantages: Cool bottle

Disadvantages: It dehydrates (I dont know how), does nothing positive AND it costs money

Having recently tried Volvic and feeling that was just tap water in a bottle, I decided I'd try the slightly more expensive Evian just to see what the fuss with bottled water was all about, I was still a little unimpressed by what I had had but thought what the hell. For those that can tell the difference between Still and Spring, Acidic and Alkaline, Soft and Hard forms of water, you'll possibly understand what a "light and balanced composition" means, to me however, it's more sales babble, just slightly less than "Volcanicity". I've no idea about the composition and if any make a wetter water or a drier water, I know I had heart burn when I started drinking the bottle, if this has effected my experience (which I doubt, as the drink is almost a neutral PH) then that's just a shame.

Evian comes in a "rocket" like bottle and has a wonderfully grafted little mountain range on it that looks rather attractive. I wish more bottles did something to endear themselves to us like this, imagine an Orange juice, with an orange artistically on the plastic of the bottle, would be kind of cool. Although the morals of the Volvic water (which is put out by the same company) aren't shown here, I'm kind of hoping again that for every litre sold, 10 litres goes to Africa and the company are trying to be both Carbon and Plastic neutral.

Anyway on to the water, a mouthful in and...my mouths gotten drier, this can't be right, I've had a giant mouthful of water and can't feel a thing. What's going on here? I thought Volvic was just water, but at least water had a rehydrating effect, this has a dehydrating one. By the time I'd finished the bottle I'd had to grab a bottle of an isotonic drink just to actually have a drink, which makes the product a waste of time, money and effort, though kudos to the guys at Danome.
Genius: "Lets sell some diuretic as a water product guys..."
Guy 1: "Genius, so then they buy a bottle of one of our other products after they've finished it?"
Genius: "Yeah we get the fools twice, put it next to something like...Volvic in the supermarkets..."
Guy 2: "Is this sort of thing not, you know, wrong?"
Genius: "But we have Volvic to be our good arm in the world, so it's like karma"
Guy 2: "Ok I can go with that".

Must have been the conversation them buggers we're having.

This writer feels hugely let down by a water product that fails to Evian hydrate me, instead it's caused me to buy another drink (a Morrison's own brand isotonic) to replenish what I should have gotten from this bottle. If I buy water I expect to at least get water that's going to help me through the day, all this did was waste money.

Coposition (mg per litre)
Calcium 80
Magnesium 25
Sodium 6.5
Potassium 1
Bicarbonates 360
Sulphates 12.6
Chlorides 6.8
Nitrates 3.7
Silica 15

Overall a waste of money for those wanting a drink.

Summary: Don't bother
