Fanta Icy Lemon

Fanta is a product of the Coca-Cola Company since 1960 and they have over 70 various flavours in many different countries, which can be different in each country. "The composition of Fanta, for the same flavour, varies from country to country". Fanta Icy Lemon was formerly known as Fanta Lemon but in 2004 they changed the name to Fanta Icy Lemon. I wasn't an instant fan of this to be honest, or in other words I didn't think that it would taste very nice. So there I was, in the service station, with sandwich in hand scanning the shelves for a drink you complete my meal deal for lunch. After, perhaps a little too much, deliberation (I had been driving for a long time) I went for a bottle of Fanta. But no ordinary Fanta, oh no this is icy lemon Fanta which, according to the label not only has "great taste" but apparently contains 30% less sugar than it did in 2006. I think these two statements appealed to my tired brain so kudos to the designer. Fanta Icy Lemon is yet another product from the coca cola range and is very nice. This is definitely one for the little man to come out and smack you around the face with a wet kipper. It wakes you up with a bang. Very Sharp tasting with a sweet edge, the lemon juice is very obvious and Wow does it pack a punch. I loved it. The bottle is a nice shape too very tactile in shape looks like an hourglass I suppose and is made of clear plastic with a yellow top. The label is yellow with fanta icy lemon written in blue. Of all the lemonade and other lemon flavoured soft drinks out there, this is definately my favourite! It is aptly named "icy" lemon, as it always tastes cold to me - even if it has been out of the fridge a while! Fanta Icy Lemon is slightly less sweet than most similar drinks, and has a really strong lemon kick to it. Fanta have reduced the sugar in this product by 30% (but it still contains almost 30g per can!) which accounts for the reduced sweetness, and the lemon kick is undoubtedly due to the 5% lemon juice content in the product.
