Advantages: Refreshable , Enjoyable

Disadvantages: A bit too sugary

Fanta Lemon is my favourite soft drink! It’s refreshing, fruity and very tasty! Yet, most people still don’t like it, and I can’t understand it! Here, I’ll tell you my first experience with this fantastic drink, and inform you more about the marvellous taste…

I am a big fan of lemon-juice. I find Lemonade, totally unlike the real thing, and I love the sourness of the real lemons! Lemonade is fair, but the fizz is totally off putting for me, and makes me want to barf! And, although Fanta Lemon has fizz, the mixture of fizz and real lemon, seems to make it divine!

If you’ve never tasted it, imagine fresh lemon juice on a summer’s day. Then imagine that with a little tingle on your tongue and a sweeter taste. Then, imagine it ice cold. And, finally, then imagine a full pint of it! Do you want to try some now?!

I first bought Fanta Lemon one Saturday afternoon. It was only last summer, and surprisingly enough, I hadn’t heard of it before that! It was really, really hot that afternoon, and I really needed something to cool me down. I didn’t care if it tasted like piss, as long as it was cold! But, I was delighted when it was cold, but wasn’t like piss!

In fact it was gorgeous, and for a mere £0,79 I couldn’t believe it! I had found a drink I really loved, and I couldn’t be happier. It wasn’t a too sweet taste like Lilt, it wasn’t a not-enough taste like Vimto, it was just right – I sound a bit like Goldilocks here, don’t I?

The label is very inviting. It’s got Fanta written in light blue, and icy Lemon written smaller below it. It has a bright yellow background, meant to represent a lemon. Also, the bottle has a lemon feeling to it, with pieces of rough dots on it, representing droplets of water.

I buy Fanta an awful lot, and I find it’s the perfect drink for any occasion. I find some drinks – e.g. Lilt &#
8211; is better for warmer climates, and others – e.g. Dandelion and Burdock – for colder climates. I find these are two drinks that are more appetising and refreshing at different times. Yet, the delight of Fanta Lemon is it’s perfect for all occasions and climates!!

The actual colour is a bit like custard lightened with water!! Seeing I’m ranting about how good this is it’s not a metaphor is it? But, I can assure you the taste is nothing like custard; I’m just trying to explain to you about the colour. So, erase that from your memory – now!

Back to the actual taste… it is very, sweet, and I think this is the only disadvantage of the product. If it was less sugary it would make it more like fresh/home-made lemon juice. So, if I was the retailer of this product, that’s what I’d change!

I think the reason why I like this so much is because I don’t buy it very often. I do that sometimes. If I love something so much, I buy it at special occasions and as a treat, so I don’t go of it!

I’m one of those people who, if they have too much of something they love, they, after a while get fed up of to, and never buy it again. So, as I love this so much I don’t buy it all the time, so my love for it never leaves, and it’s a treat when I do get it!

All in all, it’s a perfect drink that leaves you so refreshed and moistens the mouth; ready for whatever you want to do next!! I also say – drink it chilled! It is so much better, and surprisingly enough changes the whole taste of the drink! So, be warned – drink it chilled!

So, please give it a go if you haven’t tried it. It’s not one of those popular drinks that the advert is always on, so you might never have heard of it! Well, take this opportunity to have it and enjoy!
