Quite nice when cold except the aftertaste (Fanta Orange)

I used to enjoy orange Fanta when I was younger and thought I would go back and re-visit part of my childhood.

What is it? Fanta is a well known orangeade (orange carbonated/fizzy drink) produced by the Coca cola company. It is described on the can as a "tongue tingling sparkling orange fruit drink with sugar and sweeteners".

Packaging: The drink is contained within a standard 330 ml recyclable aluminium can. The can has a summer feel with bright orange graphics and pictures of oranges and the Sun. The can is easily opened by using the ring pull.

Appearance of drink: The drink itself is an orange/yellow colour with a good amount of fizzy bubbles.

Smell: The drink has a subtle smell of carbonated orange.

Taste: Fanta tastes best when served cold after storage in the refrigerator. The initial taste does tingle the tongue as the label claim above states and is quite nice. The flavour is quite tangy but is not too sharp. However, Fanta does not have the best aftertaste - probably due to the artificial sweeteners that are present in a lot of fizzy drinks (Sodium saccharin and Aspartame). If you leave the drink at room temperature for a while, the taste gets worse as the sweeteners probably become more prominent in the flavour.

Overall: A quite nice taste when served cold. An acceptable fizzy drink, but not the best aftertaste.
