Fosters Ice

Description: Brewer: Fosters Brewing Company. Style: Lager. Alcohol Content: 5%.

Newest Review: ... on with the rest of my review! The label on the bottle is quite funky looking with “Fosters Ice” emblazoned across the front ... more

... in large cartoon-y style letters and I believe that there might even be a kangaroo on there somewhere? There usually is on Foster’s products just to remind you of course, that they are Australian! Well then moving onto the appearance of the beer then. Well it is quite light brown in colour, a bit lighter than a normal Fosters lager I think. Perhaps this is something to do with the ice filtering process? Anyway it looks rather appetising as it sits there staring at you from behind the glass, a bit like a goldfish ...more

Premium Review Fosters Ice: Ice, ice baby!! (767 words)

Pre-ramble “Beer, beer, Smurfing beer, You don’t get drunk and it isn’t dear.” Yes I remember singing along to this with the Smurfs back in their heyday of the late 70s. Although it seemed like a good idea at the time, “Smurfing Beer” is probably not quite what the public would demand these days. No, we like our beer to get us tipsy and we will pay a reasonable amount of money for the pleasure! Anyway apart from that little aside, (interesting though it was) I must start writing this review. I am going to put my thoughts down about Fosters Ice, even though I don’t see it around that much these days, which is a shame as it has been ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Some like it cold (191 words)

You know that little bit of spring, usually in May, when the days are long and hot, and the sun is relentless as it batters you down all day. Ususlly lasts... well about 3 weeks and then the rest of the summer is full of days when it absolutley pours down with rain, or it's so cold you need your coat. Those few weeks are there to be enjoyed, and what better way to do so than with a nice chilled bottle (or 5) of this luvverly stuff as the sun sets, to cool you down. There's no beating the taste of this budding offering from Australia, and that's not the only thing that's 'down under.' I found to my delight that you could pick up a box of 24 ...  Read the complete review

Fosters Ice: Nice as ice! (243 words)

Fosters Ice is another of all those new-fangled largers/beers that is brewed using some form of Ice based method. These all seem to be quite a bit smoother than the normal versions of the drink, and Fosters Ice is most deffinately no different in this regard. It is smooth, has a very nice taste to it and doesn`t play merry hell with your guts - which is a problem with some beers I am reliably told by my male friends. Fortunately this isn`t the kind of problem that I have, being such a sweet delicate young girlie :-) As is normal for Ice based drinks they are only available in bottles - apart from anything else this is a giood idea because these drinks tend to ...  Read the complete review
