Fosters Lager is largely boycotted in Australia, and its not difficult to understand why, as whilst its brewed in the UK/EU the owners of fosters have effectively stolen Australia's 'trademark' image, attributing to the drink associations with the Ozzies that are in fact entirely fictitious. So, behind this utterly fabricated marketing ... Read the complete review

Fosters is an Australian lager which is synonymous in this country with ridiculous adverts about how great Australians are. With its famous blue cover with a white fosters wording the product is easy to spot. Available in all supermarkets and most off licences, the price can vary, at the moment you can get 10 cans for £6 at Sainsburys ... Read the complete review

As everyone is probably aware Fosters is an Australian larger, however what everyone is not aware of is how very different the quality of it is dependent on what part of the world you are in. Considering how widely available this larger is it certainly amazed me. When I lived in Ireland I thought Fosters was at best a just about ... Read the complete review

Fosters, the "amber nectar". The archetypal Aussie lager, or so we're led to believe. I recently holidayed in Sydney with my bro and found that nobody drank fosters at all (with beers like tooheys and victoria bitter to hand who could blame them). I guess the Australian-ness is just a gimmick. Tastewise Fosters is quite fizzy ... Read the complete review

Fosters like seems to have to publice split. Personally I am a fan of this lager, I initially used to buy this as it was cheap, and redially avaliable pretty much any pub worth it's salt. Now I count my self as a bit of a seasoned lager drinker and this has become my beer of choice. Benefits: * It is cheap, usually will ... Read the complete review

Having been a lager drinker for more years than I care to remember, I have come to notice the subtle differences, not only between brands, but between draught lagers and their bottled/canned equivalents. That is what I like about Fosters lager; it is pretty much consistent whether you get it from a pub or from a supermarket. It doesn't ... Read the complete review

In my experience, most Australian's dismiss Fosters as one of their beers and think us brits stupid for thinking it as the beer of Australia. However, after drinking a few of the beers they are more proud of (such as Carlton, VB, XXXX and Tooheys), I think they should have a bit more pride in what is their only drinkable export. I'm not ... Read the complete review

I love nothing better than a nice beer . If I have the finances, I like to get a selection of real ales and savour them. However, bottled real ales can be expensive, whereas lager can often be found on some very reasonable offers at the supermarket - at the moment Asda are selling this at 2 cases of 15 cans for £16 , making each can 53 and a bit ... I write this while drinking a can of the so called "amber nectar". I am only drinking it because It is my Husbands and like many other things, couldnt make my mind up ,didn't buy any alcohol in,because I wasnt going to drink. Then changed my mind when I saw Him with a can. I also have it in the house because it is one of the ... Read the complete review

We bought 4 cans of Foster's in-can scuba yesterday at Sainsbury's. We chilled it while we put the kids in bed then tried it accompanied with potato chips. It was really great. ¤¤¤Packing¤¤¤ I won't be long, it has a silver can (just like the blasted one on the picture) with large Foster's logo on it. There is a little ... Read the complete review

Ahh Fosters, that great Australian drink!!!!!! What a laugh. Like some other reviewers have stated, the Aussies do not actually drink it. I went travelling a few years ago and spent just over a couple of months all over Oz. And how many times did i see it being served anywhere? Once..... in a backpacker bar........ full of Brits and ... Read the complete review

Fosters lager - immortalised by Australian comic book character Barry McKenzie has proved to be one of Australia's greatest exports. Generally Fosters is one of the cheapest lagers to buy in the shops. At my local shop it generally retails at around three pounds for a pack of four. Fosters is much derided by some people who write it off ... Read the complete review

As a woman I do not usually drink beer or larger. Although recently with the good weather upon us I find beer quite refreshing rather than a glass of wine or two or three. So my boyfriend bought some fosters while we had a barbecue. It is like an australlian think barbecue and fosters. But yeah it was really refreshing and is was lovely nice and ... Fosters has something of a reputation as a lager that's entirely lacking in substance, as one of my friends said, to put it kinder than he did, "an approximation of cow urine". It's also maligned because it's on the cheaper scale of the lagers, but I must confess that I regularly drink it, not only through being a poor student, but ... Read the complete review

Available in almost every popular pub, bar and club in the UK, as well as in almost every supermarket and off-licence, Fosters is one of Australia's most famous contributions to British consciousness (not to mention unconsciousness..!). Let me tell you a story about Fosters... Around 5 years ago, whilst I was still living in Melbourne, Australia, we had a family BBQ day at the park for the expats working in the office. A British colleague of mine who had relocated from London to Melbourne came along with his 6 pack of Fosters - and we all laughed! Why? Because noone ... Read the complete review

Fosters Larger, the Amber Nectar, apparently. This is widely known as an Australian beer, just watch the adverts on TV and this is the impression we are meant to be given. However it is brewed here in the UK. I must admit though if I am drinking Lager from a can, Fosters is one of my favorites. It has a very nice fresh taste. It is ... Read the complete review

I know it says 4.9 percent up there, but that's not usually the strength we get it here. Either way, I'm going to review this 'lager' as a cautionary tale to people not yet familiar with Fosters... For some reason in the UK we tend to drink really awful lagers like Fosters and Carling in large amounts. It might be because it's cheap, it ... Read the complete review

I purchased 4 cans of Fosters Lager for £3.50 from my local Tesco and this is often on offer in most off licenses and in supermarkets. The can has a nice design, a blue can with a red F surrounded by gold with a gold rim. Each can is 4.0% is 440ml of liquid, contains 1.8 units of alcohol, has 227 calories & 17.6g of ... Loathed by all Australians, the fine beverage that is Fosters never disappoints me. Whatever form of fosters it is that Australians get hold of, is in no way similar to that which us Brits do... ours, despite what the advertising campaigns might suggest, is in fact brewed in the EU. I visited Sydney last year and was highly disappointed ... Read the complete review
