Advantages: Banana milkshake - Refreshing
Disadvantages: Slightly sickly
Today I tried a Frijj Banana Milkshake, I bought it from Sainsbury's for 48p on a less than half price offer.
The reason I bought this drink was because Frijj is a well known, respected company and i have tried the Chocolate flavour before and enjoyed it so I was looking forward to this, and thought 48p was a bargain.
The packaging was white and yellow with 'Thick and Fresh Banana Milkshake' written on it. It also has a 'Tastiest Ever' sign, Quoting 'No artificial flavourings'.
Frijj boasts that their milkshakes are made using fresh milk, rich in calcium and vitamin B12. There is less than 1% fat in a bottle, it is gluten free, suitable for vegetarians and there are no artifical colours added.
When you open the bottle you get quite a strong smell of bananas. What I noticed about the taste was that it was very refreshing, most milkshakes that I have tried don't tend to be refreshing. The taste was very nice and tasted just like bananas even though it wasn't made using actual bananas.
The milkshake contains; Skimmed milk (76%), Whole milk (18%), Sugar, Buttermilk powder, Modified maize starch, Natural flavouring, Stabilisers (Carrageenan, guar gum), Colour (Mixed carotenes).
I shared the milkshake with another person and we agreed that it may be a bit sickly if we were to have a whole one each.
After drinking this milkshake I will definitely be interested in trying their other flavours.
Summary: I Would Buy Again
