Advantages: great taste

Disadvantages: thick milkshakes not to everyones taste

Milkshakes are something I really enjoy and one of my favourite supermarket milkshakes is Frijj milkshakes. Unlike other brands of milkshakes you can buy from the supermarket these actually taste of something because most supermarket milkshakes are tasteless. What makes Frijj milkshakes different is that it is of a thick consistency, this is not to everyone's taste as some people don't like the texture but for me it is something that makes it a great milkshake.

Frijj main flavours are Banana, chocolate, strawberry, chocolate fudge brownie and (new) cookie dough. My favourite is chocolate fudge brownie it tastes great and is not to sickly.

Frijj milkshakes are made with fresh milk and a bottle of Frijj (500ml) contains 79% of our daily recommended calcium. It contains no artificial colours or flavourings and is gluten free. For those of you who are counting the calories these milkshakes are not good and are best to be treated as a one off treat every now and again. The strawberry flavour milkshake contains 64 cal per 100ml which means a bottle of strawberry Frijj (500ml) contains 320 cal. In the chocolate fudge brownie there is 87cal per 100 ml which is 435cal per bottle. This is a lot of calories for a drink but in my opinion it's worth it.

A bottle of Frijj is normally priced at about £1.05 but there always seems to be offers on somewhere. At the moment Iceland are selling them for 75p each and Tescos and Sainsburys normally have offers on where you can buy 2 for £1.50.

These are great milkshakes and I enjoy them as a treat every now and again. I would recommend these milkshakes, I have tried nearly all flavours and they all taste great (I have yet to try the new flavour). Next time you feel like a chocolate fix try chocolate fudge brownie flavour you won't be disappointed.

Summary: great tasting milkshakes
