Advantages: They are tasty and filling!

Disadvantages: They are quite expensive just for a milkshake!

I quite enjoy milkshakes now and then but having a brother around who can drink milk like theres no tomorrow as well as twin toddlers who go through it like it's never ending I try and buy in alot of milkshakes to vary their milk drinks.

One of these milkshakes I buy are Frijj as I find them fantastically filling and tasty.

Frijj comes in so many flavours including Chocolate, Strawberry, Banana, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Cookie Dough. You can even buy seasonal flavours at Easter, Christmas and Halloween.

No matter what flavour you buy they all come in the same style white plastic dumpy, chunky bottle with a screw off lid. They are each decorated in cow patches of colour, the colour varying depending on the flavour of the shake. Frijj is written so proudly along the front of the bottle and the flavour is provided underneath.

Before drinking these I usually give them a good shake, it does advise this on the bottles too. The shake is quite thick for a milk drink, alot thicker than the consistency of milk that's for sure. Due to it's thickness I find it extremely filling, but not a thirst quenching drink instead I drink these as a treat, especially as their flavours are so rich.

Chocolate Fudge Brownie is my favourite Frijj drink by far. It's bottle comes decorated differently to others being dominantly chocolate brown all over with a picture of a chocoalte brownie in the corner. It does state on the bottle that it doesn't contain real brownies! I don't like Chocolate milkshakes, Frijj chocolate flavour being no exception, I find them vile and bitter but this is different.

It is a golden brown in colour, just as thick as the other Frijj drinks you can buy. It does taste of chocolate, but it doesn't have that bitter cocoa taste that they all seem to come with. Instead it tastes sweet, very sweet indeed, almost like caramel. It is a luscious chocolate, cakey, rich caramel flavoured drink. It goes down smooth and thick and the flavour tastes just as sweet as yummy in every gulp!

As you can imagine a drink as rich in flavour and as thick as this isn't the healthiest. The nutritional info on this 500ml bottle is provided per 100ml.

Each 100ml contains;
87 calories
12.4g sugars
2.1g fat
1.3g saturates
126mg calcium

Along with the rich flavours and whopping calorie intake per bottle the price is quite high too for a milkshake, you can expect to pay near enough £1, possibly more in newsagents and garages but they can sometimes be on offer too!

These are very tasty milkshakes in my opinion but as they are so rich in flavour and thick filling drinks I do only buy them as a treat now and then.

Summary: Lovely tasting drink in a variety of flavours!
