Advantages: fresh taste, not too heavy, good summer beer

Disadvantages: doesnt travel far, availability

Butser is Gales session beer. Named after the hill which overlooks the brewery Butser is a tamer drink than HSB, its big strong brother. This is a lovely beer to drink out in the beer garden on a warm summer's day. It has a nice refreshing taste and won't get you too tipsy. Unfortunately, like all Gales beers it never goes too far from the brewery so you might have trouble finding it in your area.

However, if you have a good local real ale pub, why not ask your Landlord if he will consider it as a guest beer, you never know, he might consider it.
