Advantages: Adda to the alcohol level in your bloodstream

Disadvantages: Its thick, Its disgusting, IT HURTS!

I have never been a fan of anything remotely aniseed flavoured: sambuca, aftershock, absinthe, but i tried a shot of Goldschlager because of the immense peer pressure on me.

Let me set the scene: it was a friday night, in a Lloyds bar, 5 girls havin a good night, standing at the bar, and one of the girls orders 5 shots of Goldschlager......

Well...i have to say it was honsetly disgusting, i gagged and nearly threw up on the floor!

Goldschlager is a thick syrupy version of sambuca, but a bit weaker flavour than most sambucas, oh, and it has little pieces of goldleaf floating around in it, with the apparant intention of cutting you throat so that the alcohol can get into your bloodstream quicker.

In my opinion, any drink that has the intention of harming the recipient should b avioded at all costs, and cost it does. Goldschlager is not cheap! I do not know how much it costs to buy a bottle here, but in duty free at the airport, it is about 15 pounds, and for a shot in a Lloyds bar, it is about 1.50

Overall, i would say this drink is overrated and disgusting, and would give it 0/10 for effort!
