I decided on a buy one get one free on Grolsch. 8 Bottles for just £4.99. Not bad at all. It was a while since I had one of these bottles so that was one of the reasons why i decided on choosing Grolsch. I used to work with someone who was a bit of an anorak about beer. A member of CAMRA, he was the fount of all knowledge as far as the amber nectar was concerned. There didn’t appear to be anything he didn’t know about the subject. Most of what he said went in through one ear and out of the other, as my only interest in beer is drinking it, but one thing did stick in my mind. He said that beer should never be bottled in green bottles because the green glass attracts sunlight and causes ‘skunking’. I never asked him what skunking was, what it did to the beer or whether it affected the taste, but as often happens to gullible people ...

Mmm... Nothing I like more than whiling away the hours sunbathing on the deckchair in my garden, with a captivating magazine, catching up on my weekly soap goss and blaring out Blur tracks from my stereo. All this whilst taking my time over a nice long cool refreshing bottle of Grolsch Premium Lager. While everyone else is wishing time away at work! Bliss! Well, that's what I've been doing today.
