Of course the specific can I am drinking is brewed in the UK for Grolsch UK Ltd, Stoke on Trent. The ingredients are water, malted barley and hops as listed on the can, but surely there must be more to it, don't you think? I'm not a lager lout, honestly, I know, bang goes my circle of trust! Having declared my undying love for Budweiser this morning here I am writing an opinion about Grolsch. What has happened? Well to be honest three bottles of Bud and three Blue WKDs is what has happened. I’ve come home to see how my Bud op is doing and hey – the only lager around was a can of Grolsch. Hence the inspiration and opinion that you find before you. Well, that covers the why I bought it part of the op! With a name that sounds like a cow belching and a taste like the inside of a dutchman's clog this truly is the foulest tasting of all popular lagers. No wonder they have to wrap it up in a bottle that looks rather quaint in a strange sort of way - give people something nice to say about it! I was introduced to this by a friend but whatever possessed anyone to market this beer is beyond me and that it has a market is even more of an enigma although it would appear to be available from any alcohol selling establishment so I suppose they must be doing something right. Truly disgusting - can't recommend it unless you need to unblock a sink or something. ...
