... boozy beer but they tend to think it's counter balanced by the amount of hops and malt extract in there at 16%, I'd go along way to agree with them but there is a definite taste of stronger alcohol in there that even that amount of flavour can't quite get rid of. The taste is nice though, not as sweet as the majority of beers this strong and it's an amber colour rather than a Porter. Personally, I'm happier down near the 5.0%-6.0% beers but if you are a so-called "connosieur" go for it!...more

From the same brewery as the Kunter range from Poland, comes a slightly specialist beer "Grudziadzkie Dobre Dziewiatka" - Grudziadz's Good 9th which refers to the 9% alcohol in the beer. Despite the strong alcohol content, this beer markets itself far from the tramp market and gears more towards the "connoiseur" - that is, the pisshead with slightly a bit more money! This beer goes out of it's way to dress itself up in a traditional looking bottle oozing antiquity when it is in fact, a relatively new beer on the market.
