Brew of the Gods (Guinness Draught (can))
Member Name: snwmobileboy
Advantages: Taste, Texture, Convenience Disadvantages: Still not from a tap, Not from my good Ol' pub
I began drinking Guinness at the age of 21 when my brothers properly introduced me to the world of brews. I got a pint glass and poured the stuff in (according to the directions on the back of the can), the first sip suprised me with its bitterness, the second sip brought forth a dark muddy flavour, but the third was bliss. A deep chocolate flavor with some hints of smoke filtered Into my mouth. The sip slid down my throat and made itself nice and comfy in my stomach. The rest of the pint followed very soon. Each sip of this stuff is an adventure, each one different from the last and very satisfying. I will say that I am very picky about my beers. I hate the big brand stuff, only microbrews for me. The big brands, no offense to anyone, just taste dull and watered down to me. Anyway, the can has a small plastic ball in it that contains nitrogen, so that when you open it, it is almost like coming from a tap. Brilliant! I have since had Guinness from a tap and it is better that way, but the can can fit in my house. I must say that it is not as good as the nectars that are brewed up in my local pub, as they brew all of their own beer. Their Pig's Head Ale is to die for. But, when I can't get there, need a change of pace, or just feel like it, Guinness is for me. And the can helps for the occasions when I just can't go get a pint on tap. Summary: |
