I decided to try Guinness original in the bottle rather than the can, (this bottle had a pleasant surprise 13.5% extra free). Guinness has been a trademark since 1759. This can will have been produced subsequent to the brewery moving production from the UK to IRELAND. The bottle size had changed from 440 ml to 500ml since I last enjoyed Guinness probably helping us to come in line with EU standards. The alcohol content 4.2% by volume. Reassuringly the can contains some indication of alcohol content in terms of UK unit’s (2.1). These units are often mentioned in guidelines for a safe weekly drinking allowance for a week. I'm a Guinness drinker at the local pub, so I was surprised when I ordered Guinness in one pub and was rewarded with one of these bottles. So, let's get something straight. Guinness Draught has NOTHING to do with this stuff. Imagine Coca-Cola. Make it less drinkable (if that's possible). Take away the sweetness, then make it possibly more fizzy. Add a coca-cola 'head'. It's disgusting. Awful. Words cannot convey how revolting this drink is, and how far removed this drink is from the nectar that is real Guinnesss Draught. It's something that pensioners drink.
