Advantages: I love the 750 ml bottle size, sports drinking cap, tastes good
Disadvantages: None
The product:
Harrogate Spa drinking water comes from a town called Harrogate in North Yorkshire, and is sourced from 45m below ground level, from water-bearing rocks.
Harrogate Spa water is low in sodium and tastes slightly sweet. It can be purchased as a still drink, and also as a sparkling, carbonated drink too. Popularity of this mineral water has grown since it's reintroduction in 2002 (before that it's popularity fizzled out during the 1970's) and it is currently amongst the Top 10 mineral water brands in the UK.
My opinion:
Well I will start off by telling you that I am quite fussy when it comes to mineral water. I don't like sparkling water, and always, always go for still. Of the still mineral waters I have tasted, I have a particular liking for Evian and just to give you an idea of what I don't like, well I strongly dislike Vittel (it just tastes so bitter!).
Now I am the sort of person that is more than happy to drink water from my tap, but when out and about, I will buy mineral water as I have little other option if I want a drink of water. If Evian is unavailable, my next choice is Buxton's and if that's not there either, I go for the supermarket own brand.
Whilst in the centre of town the other day I picked up this 750 ml bottle of Harrogate Spa water (as there was little other choice due to where I was at the time). What first attracted me to it was the size of the bottle. I often find that the more usual 500 ml bottles do not have enough, and the 1 litre bottles are a little too big. In addition, I liked the 'sports cap' from which you are supposed to drink the water from. It saves having to fuss about with a screw lid (which often falls onto the floor, or ends up completely lost) when you are rushing about and just want a quick sip of water.
In terms of the taste of the water, I liked it! It just tasted....well normal! And that's how I like my water to taste!
The 750 ml bottle set me back around £1.45. I know, this is a little expensive. But when I paid for it, I thought about the practicality of re-using the bottle. As the packaging is great (especially the volume of the bottle) I thought it was a fair investment as I have since re-used this bottle more than 10 times over, as I keep it filled with tap water on my desk whilst I am working.
I am not sure if this water comes in different sizes, but after having a nose around on the manufacturer's website, I can see they have pictures of smaller bottles of this mineral water. Not sure about the price of the smaller bottles, but I am sure that the price will vary depending on place of purchase - I probably paid more for my water because of where I bought it.
All in all, great mineral water which I would buy again if I needed some water to quench my thirst whilst out and about!
Summary: I'd buy this again
