Advantages: Cheap, Great if you like bitter

Disadvantages: Horrid if you dont like bitter

Ok I am writing about booze yet again I promise you there is a none booze related review coming up soon.

I am not a big fan of local beer normally, nor am I a fan of bitters but Harveys break both them moulds.

I found it when at my not so local town pub having a few chats with friends, when oh dear I only had £3.20 left, £1.20 needed for the bus home and well £2.00 to get a drink with at pub prizes.

So rushed up to the bar before last orders and asked what I could get for £2, the bar lady looked a bit puzzled and gave me that look like I was a cheap drunken fool and said:
”Oh yes Harveys is only £1.60”
Well bargain hunters I think we have a winner. So I had a pint of their finest Harveys.

**First thoughts**
A cheap bitter god I am not going to like this but I hate sitting while everyone else is drinking and I am just twiddling my thumbs.
But when it was poured it looked like a very creamy dirty bitter that yet again I do not like, with not liking Guinness (I am sorry people I just don’t)
It held a good head, maybe too much head for me I like a southern pint with no head at all. But if its your type of thing then your in here.

**First Taste**
The texture was creamy as it looked but it was a surprisingly dirty bitter tasting taste that I actually enjoyed.
It slipped down the back of throat like a treat leaving a lingering after taste

**Finished**
Well after I finished it I will be the better man and say I enjoyed a bitter again, after John Smiths was the thing that got me into drinking.
But when I have the money I must admit that I probably will stick to my lagers.

**Stats**
I still do not know the ADV of this drink, so if someo
ne would like to tell me.
it is not widely available even for a “Sussex” drink not a lot of places that sell it, probably because they do not make a lot so they can only sell it to certain people in certain amounts.
In the King and Queen the pub in Brighton which I got it from they very rarely actually have it in stock, you have to catch is because it is a much loved drink.

**People**
If you like strong bitters then you will probably like this, if you are much more of a cleaner flavoured person then stay away this will not be your pint.

**Disclaimer**
Overly drinking yourself into a dangerous state for you and those around you is not a funny matter. Under age drinking is also a serious matter. Take control and no your limits

**Thank You**
Take Care
