Heather Cream

As someone who loves Baileys, when I had this recommended to me as being better than Baileys, I had to try it. I bought it in Glasgow from the whiskey shop in the Buchanan galleries and, at least when I bought it, it was £11.99 for a 70cl bottle although it looks different from what is pictured. This is the Scottish answer to Irish Cream and the company has been around since 1980. It's made from Scottish cream and single malt whiskey (also from Scotland, naturally) and while it does not taste to me at least of the coconut and chocolate tones the bottle claims, it is delicious and it IS nicer than Baileys. Many people will not have heard of Heather Cream. Indeed, until September last year, I had not heard of it either, but believe me, if you like Baileys, you'll love this... On a weekend trip to Edinburgh, my partner and I decided to go to a whisky shop to buy some miniatures for family and friends.
