We had our third child in July and through experience started him on Cow & Gate. He was very sick with this and was gaining very little weight so we were told by the midwife to try Aptimal...again he was sick and gained little weight. We were then told he may be allergic to cows milk as his father has many allergies however the doctor wanted us to add gaviscon to his milk, this just made him very constipated and didn't help the sickness either. He was then referred to a paediatrician as his weight was not good....(the appointments is not until the end of November, lot of use 3 months on...anyway)

A friend had this same problem with milks and told us to try Hipp Organic stage 1 as it was good for here baby, we did this and it stopped our baby being as sick and his weight gain is now excellent so for some reviewers to say AVOID is very harsh and could put people off this milk when in fact it could help, like it has with us and two friends babies.

The only down side is that if you want the ready made cartons they can be hard to get hold of, we have Sainsburys order cases in for us after Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys all ran out. The powder milk also has foil bags rather than a box which has a seal-able lid, we were ok though as we just used our old C & G one and re-fill that with Hipp.
