Advantages: Great tasting as well as very healthy!

Disadvantages: Sometimes can be pricey

I find smoothies an excellent way of getting the '5 a day' & a bottle of this smoothie states that it counts towards 2 of your 5 portions!

This variety tastes particularly good with the combination of raspberries & cranberries (cranberries have great health properties but are tricky to eat on their own so this is a great way of getting them into your diet.) The consistency is very smooth & the drink overall I find refreshing & a great alternative to just water.

These 250ml bottles are ideal for drinking 'on the go' & for larger quantities required, they produce cardboard cartons that fit nicely into the fridge door. Both types need to be kept in the fridge as there are no preservatives in the smoothie. You also need to shake before drinking to ensure you distribute all the fruit evenly.

Innocent always have 'quirky' wording on their labels with sometimes random items such as including 'this drink doesn't contain elephants!' They also include clear ways of getting in touch with them if you are not happy with a product such as the normal phone numbers & address, but also an email address & they positively encourage you to visit them in London.

They have a clear 'green 'policy with packaging always made from recycled material & encouraging people to recycle after use.

A bottle such as this typically sells for just under £2 but I have recently found it to be on offer for around £1.30 in many supermarkets (they are now available in all supermarkets but not all flavours can always be found.) They are in the chiller cabinets along with items such as fresh orange juice. As they are so fresh they typically only have around a 3 week shelf life.

Summary: An alternative to water at lunchtime
