Disadvantages: a bit pricey

On my way to visit my parents each week I often pop into Boots and grab a meal deal for my lunch, this week the drink I decied to have was the Pomegranates, blue berries and acai Innocent Smoothie.

This particular smothie caught my eye because of the deep gold label and the rich dark purple colour of the smoothie.

The smoothie is 250ml and costs about £2 when bought alone, however it was not so much of a sting to my pocket when I was buying the meal deal and getting the smoothie along with my sandwiches and cake for just £2.99, although I doubt I would buy the bottle otherwise.

This particular smoothie is one of the ' super fruit ' smoothies. This variety is great for detoxing the body.

There are 6 fruits in this smoothie, despite the title suggesting only 3. The fruits are - red and white grapes, banana, pomegranate, orange, blueberries and acai berries, there is also a bit of lemon juice.

A bottle of this smoothie is equivalent to 2 portions of fruit, so counts towards your 5 a day!

I really enjoy smoothies but tend to find they always taste like banana or orange juice, with this Inncocent Smoothie I was pleasantly surprised because whilst I could taste the banana a little bit, it was not at all over powering.

The texture of the smoothie is a little lumpy as it has a feew pippy bits in it, but its mainly nice and thick.

The smoothie does seperate a bit so its a good idea to give it a bit of a shake before consuming it, and its great cold, very refreshing, but if it is warm its not so nice as I found out when I forgot to take it out of my bag and put it into the fridge!

I would definitely buy this again, it really was lovely, the main taste was blueberry but you can definitely pick up the other fruits in there too.

Im hoping that this is made in the bigger cartons because they are better value for money, but if not then I will just keep buying this as part of my meal deal!
