My first encounter with J20 was when I was in my local Rileys watching my beloved Manchester United on the big screen when I decided to go up to the bar and get myself a drink. As I didnt have much money I decided on a soft drink and saw and offer on J20's. I had heard of them before but had never tasted on so I asked for the Apple and Melon version. Apple and Melon are two of my favourite fruits and I thought that it was a great combination to have in a drink like this. As I sat down with my drink and took a swig I was very pleased with the taste of it and with the high content of juice (50%) It really tasted like a fruit drink should. I recommend ... There are not too many, but there are times when I reach the bar in my local and decide that I don’t fancy another pint. Incredibly, there are even times on a night out when I decide that too much of that fizzy stuff or those vodka-laced cocktails will not do myself too good. So what to have? Ask for a glass of Coke and the bar staff think they have misheard you and you obviously want a couple of shots of Smirnoff in it. And after they have filled it to the brim with ice you end up with about the equivalent amount of one of those mini-cans (you know, the 25p jobbies from Woolies). It was not too long ... Although I enjoy a glass of wine or two at home, I very rarely drink alcohol when Im out in pubs. I know this is shocking behaviour for a student, and no doubt if the Students Union ever find out I will be thrown out of university immediately, but the fact remains that I just dont. I think that it stems back to the fact I was born and brought up in a pub (that sounds really dodgy, my family did actually own the pub, it wasnt just that my mother spent lots of time there!) Because I grew up seeing how alcohol affected normally sane and rational people I became very wary of drinking in public and apart from the occasional drink with a meal I tend to stick to the soft ... …..Melon balls actually. J2O, Britvic’s new soft drink Apple and Melon, is a wonderful drink and not too expensive – as most soft drinks are. Britvic’s new soft drink J2O comes in 4 new flavours: - Apple & Melon; Apple & Mango; Orange & Cranberries; Orange & Passionfruit Each bottle costs about £1.05 (Wetherspoon outlets) and contains 275 ml and all are alcohol free. However, there the similarities seem to end, as each juice drink has different quantities of juices and all have very individual tastes. The Apple & Melon drink has 45% apple juice and only 5% melon juice, yet the melon tantalises the taste buds and can ... Read the complete review

Britvic's J20 drinks have taken the soft drinks market by storm, especially where adults are concerned. Kids like them because the flavours are strong and they are quite sweet. Adults like them for the fruit burst you get with each flavour. The Apple and Melon J20 is not my favourite of these drinks. It is a rather murky green colour, and the apple flavour far outweighs the melon, giving you the feeling that you are just drinking sweet and expensive apple juice. Sure, the taste is nice, but this is nothing special in the range. I find this is best served in a pint glass, with a load of ice, and mixed with soda water. This dilutes the drink a little, ...
