Jameson is my favourite whiskey, and the only one that I genuinely enjoy drinking. The flavour is definitely that of a whiskey, but it is also light and very amiable to drink and even down. It is a very complex, almost sweet taste, and it is the sort of thing that I associate with festive nights sitting inside in a lovely comfy armchair by the fire. It is certainly not the cheapest drink available, but it is worth the premium that you pay over no-frills, cheapo scotch and other such similar beverages that are offered by many supermarkets. Whisky (whiskey when referring to Irish whiskey) is a spirit distilled from a fermented mash of grains, which can include rye, barley, oats, wheat and corn.
