... is the sole sponsor of Serbian big brother and came runner-up to Budvar in the German Beer World Cup held by the magazine Stern in 2006. Taste wise it's very neutral, a bit sweet, a bit bitter, 5.0%, not much of a head, not much carbonation but a clear golden colour with a crisp clean taste. It's not one for connoseurs but it's a pleasant pilsener style beer which goes down easily enough, just be aware of the rumoured "wife-beating" after effects ala Stella Artois!...more

Jelen Pivo is a Serbian beer which has a bit of a reputation for making the drinker grumpy in a similar way to Stella Artois, Jelen Pivo translates to Deer beer but this is no bambi brew. Made by Apatinska Pivara brewery, this beer is now 252 years old and it is sold mostly in Serbia but also in neighbouring balkan countries, Bosnia, Macedonia, Croatia and places with a large Serbian population such as Switzerland, Austria, Australia and Germany. Apatinska Brewery is based in Apatin, a town in the north-west of the northern region Vojvodina close to the borders of Hungary and Croatia.
