Newest Review: ... wait for his anus to rumble and your probably about as close to the smell of Kaliber as you can get. Some beers, although ... more

... unpleasant tasting, can be quite tolerable once the alcohol kicks in. The difference here being that Kaliber is alcohol free so there is nothing to kick in, which means that it tastes crap no matter how many you drink. It's a brave effort I suppose, to give people who can't drink alcohol for whatever reason, (work in the morning, can't perform in the bedroom when your blind drunk, driving, ect, ect,) the chance to join friends in a friendly drinking session, without the need to stagger outside and up ch...more

~ ~ As many of you may be aware, the ‘mad cabbie’ is a recovered alcoholic, (over 23 years now since my last drink) so you’re not liable to catch me writing too many opinions in the “booze” Category here at dooyoo, as any knowledge I might have of the product would be somewhat out of date. But there are now a number of ‘non-alcoholic’ or low-alcohol beers on the market, such as Clausthaler, Becks, and the one I’m going to talk about here, Kaliber, from the renowned Irish brewers Guinness. ~ ~ Lets start off by making something perfectly clear from the start. Kaliber is NOT an alcohol free beer! It contains ...  Read the complete review

This beer is advertised as being clean, crisp and full of body even though it is alcohol free, well, as free as 0.5% can get. The reality though, can't be much more different. The beer (if thats what you can actually call it) tastes like someone has scooped out the used dishwater from your kitchen sink. And no, seeing as I have already been asked this once, (you know who you are..lol) I don't go around drinking the dirty dishwater from my sink. My strange comment is as always, meant only as a metaphore. LOL Anyway, Kaliber is unpleasant to taste and is about as clean, crisp and full of body as a glass of toilet water, again NO ...  Read the complete review

I've been "Des". The designated driver. You see, that's the good thing about living in London. The public transport's great. You can get wherever you want to be by hopping onto a bus or a train. You can get hugely drunk in Central London, totter back to the tube station, and go home safely. But woe, woe betide anyone who has the misfortune to drink this kind of stuff instead of real beer. Okay, so the bottles look cool. They look as if you're drinking a premium beer. Except, obviously, you're not, actually. You're drinking something that LOOKS like beer. Pour it into a glass. There. That looks like ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Why I love Kaliber (182 words)

I am stressed, I'm planning a wedding, was made redundant recently and the weather was hot today. I have also recently started a new job (today in fact). When the weather gets hot I crave lager! When football is on I crave lager! When I went shopping this evening I bought 4 cans of Kaliber and some mixed fruit + salad. Kaliber alcohol-free lager for me is an excellent alternative to lager. I love the lager taste but lager itself gives me major hangovers for some reason my stomach can't even cope with one pint. I know that it doesn't taste exactly like lager but the more you drink it the nicer it becomes. The ...  Read the complete review
