... I like this cos i hate black bits floating in the top of my drink. It smells like good quality coffee as well and tastes like it too. It has a smooth flavour that is rich and makes me want to have another cup straight away. I dont have sugar but my sister does and I think the sugar does take some of the nice flavour away so I dont bother. Kenco costs about £3 a jar from most shops that sell coffee and this is ok cos a jar lasts me for ages unless my mum goes through a coffee phrase cos she can drink a jar in 2 ...more

Premium Review Kenco Really Smooth: Coffee Kraft... (388 words)

Rating:

I am not a big coffee drinker but do enjoy the occasional cup and it has to be Kenco really smooth! Kenco coffee is actually part of the Kraft food empire. Kenco coffee has been around since 1923 so is a well-established brand. I always try to buy food and products that have been responsibly produced and Kenco scores here as the beans used to produce the coffee are sourced from rain forest alliance farms. The rain forest alliance is an independent environmental organisation that works with farmers to help ensure their farms are sustainable by paying a fair wage for example. The alliance also works to improve the quality of life for those living ...  Read the complete review

It is not often I drink coffee as it reacts badly with some medication I take and leaves me with awful heartburn. The thing is that, like anything that is bad for me, sometimes I crave it and that is when I reach for my jar of Kenco Really Smooth. While it still gives me the heartburn, Kenco Really Smooth is the only coffee that doesn't make the condition unbearable and the resulting burn can easily be controlled with a swig of Gaviscon before and after drinking it. It really is Really Smooth, in fact I'd go so far as saying it's one of the smoothest instant coffees on the market at the moment. I use one level teaspoon of coffee and make my cuppa ...  Read the complete review

I'm not the keenest of coffee fans, because my real preference is for a nice cup of tea, but there is one brand of coffee which I do make an exception for, and that's the splendidly smooth and rich Kenco .... Mmmm, deliciously refreshing. Mrs D on t'other hand absolutely despises tea and everything about it - the taste, the smell, the appearance, the very idea of it - and consequently we very rarely get to sample the brew in our house because she just refuses to make tea for me. You know what it's like, you always want what you can't have and don't want what is sitting on a plate for you. You maybe understand then my preference ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review JUST LIKE REAL COFFEE SHOULD BE  (575 words)

I live on Coffee – no two ways about it. I seem to have lost my supposed traditional English taste for tea and gone all transatlantic. You just can’t beat a great cup of freshly percolated coffee, or if you are in one of the recent plethora of recently sprung up Coffee houses – a latte, cappuccino and nice comfortable to seat to relax in. But if you are in a hurry, at home, and don’t want the trouble of firing up the Coffee machine, far and away the best option is the KENCO Instant coffee. I can remember those TV Ads with the Kenco coffee rep touring the South American bean farms, “But here try this” as she hands him ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kenco Really Smooth: FOR THE COFFEE CONNOISSEUR (283 words)
by - written on 14/10/08 (Very useful, 92 readings)

One of my sins is drinking far too much coffee - this is also one of the few things I can't go "value" on - a decent cup of coffee is a must for me! I normally buy Nescafe but Kenco was on offer so I decided to give it a whirl This particular one comes in a stout glass bottle (made from 35% recycled glass)with a red lid which unscrews, a red label with the words Kenco in large white lettering and really smooth underneath it. Currently priced in tesco at £2.58 for 100g it is slightly more expensive than nescafe at £2.14 for 100g. Kenco is a product of "Kraft foods" and is freeze dried, golden roasted for ...  Read the complete review
