Ketel One ... nose. First introduced in the U.S. in 1990, Ketel One Vodka is the creation of one of Holland's oldest distilling dynasties, the Nolet family of Schiedam. Since its introduction, Ketel One has been acknowledged as perhaps the finest vodka available to this country's discerning consumers-a reputation that has been borne out by the brand's phenomenal growth; in fact, it currently ranks as one of Holland's fastest-growing exports to the U.S. From 1993 through 1996, sales grew by a factor of ten. In 1996, and again in 1997, Ketel One was awarded "Hot Brand Status" by the trade publication Impact in recognition of its record-setting expansion.

... Vodka is, as with most Vodkas, clear. -Nose- The nose on Ketel One is very mild, hints of sweet peppermint and a tiny medicinal fragrance. The medicinal fragrance stems from liquorice and flowery notes. A good tip for when nosing drinks is to smell the back of your hand when changing between drinks. The Nolet distillery lies in the town of Schiedam in the South of Holland and has been family run since 1691. Recently the Nolet family sold half of the Ketel One business to Diageo, one of the worlds largest alchohol distributors. This was done to try and increase the popularity and availability of Ketel One Vodka. Ketel One have three separate products; Vodka, Citrus Vodka and Jenever (a form of gin).
