I'm not really a fizzy drink kind of girl and I actually like to drink fruit squashes however I'm not loyal to one particular brand. I tend to buy whatever is on offer or whatever catches my eye at the time. The other week I picked up a bottle of kia ora orange flavoured squash as I remembered I always used to drink it when I was younger.

Kia Ora comes in a curved yet cylindrical see through plastic bottle with a golden screw off cap. A sky blue sticker covers the bottle with green trees and a bird decorating it. Kia Ora is written on the front in funky blue writing and it says Made with real fruit on the top.

It has a very strong fake orange scent, slightly bitter actually and it tastes exactly the same way. In the bottle the orange squash is a deep, dark orange and quite a thick looking liquid. When diluted with water though I find it very fake, tangy yet a weak squash to drink. Some value squashes from supermarkets have a better 'orange' taste than this. I find this also leaves an aftertaste too. By a bitterness let me explain, you have an orange and you segment it biting into them juicy chunks and tasting pure orange juices but now and then you have a bit of the white stuff, the bitty, tangy, not quite so orange tasting bits that become annoying on an orange and that is exactly how this squash tastes. No wonder I hadn't drank it for so many years !!
