Kilikia Dark comes in a strange looking bottle, just as some of the other Kilikia types do, the bottle goes horizontally up before getting knobbly at the top. Kilikia Dark is a little bit tastier than the regular type, it's not as strong but it makes up for what it lacks in ABV with a thick body.

The beer is relatively dark, a brown colour but not quite as dark as coca-cola. Tastewise it's slightly sweet but retains a caramel flavour rather than being an all-out sugar fest. There's also a bit of a berry flavour to it, I'm not brilliant at working out the tastes of certain berries, so I wouldn't like to suggest the exact berry.

It's not the fizziest beer, in fact barely any lacing is noticeable at all after a while but the frothy beige coloured head hangs around for a reasonable time. Kilikia Dark might be available in parts of the US where there is a large Armenian population but apart from that it's unlikely to be found outside of Armenia. There's no need to go tracking it down as it's far from brilliant but it stands out as one of Armenia's best beers so if you should find yourself visiting you can feel confident in giving it a go.
