When I started drinking cider Strongbow was my choice of drink, a friend then introduced me to Kopparberg Pear Cider. Loving the taste of the pear variety I decided to try the other variety, mixed fruit being one of these and officially my favourite Kopparberg!!! The most common form of cider is apple cider, which comes in varieties such as dry, medium and sweet but all cider is made from fermented fruit juice. The pear version of cider is known as perry which is the same classification of drinks such as lambrini. Cider is well known due to the fact that it is often quite capable of getting you very drunk very quickly and generally the alcohol volume of cider ... Read the complete review

Kopparberg carbonated mixed fruit cider is something I came across in my local Select And Save store this week. I was immediately intrigued by the concept so decided to treat myself to one of these dark, mysterious 500ml bottles. It cost me £1.89 for the privelege. The labelling is plain and basic with the name of the product and a picture depicting raspberries and blackcurrants. The labels also tell us that the product is made in Sweden. Crucially though there is no nutrition information on the bottle or list of ingredients and though I also searched the internet I ultimately could not find the relevant information in full. Needless to say though this is a ... Read the complete review

Yes, it's still the morning. Yes, it's a weekday. So, yes, it's probably inappropriate to review alcohol at this time, but needs must, so ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Kopparberg's Mixed Fruit cider. First of all, Kopparberg is a brewery (Kopparbergs Bryggeri) in the Swedish town of Bergslagen. It's current form has been around since 1994 after being taken over by a pair of brothers but the factory used to produce Kopparberg in all it's various forms has existed since 1945. The cider was introduced into the UK in 2003, and the rest, as they say, is history. Arguably, the pear version is the more famous, popular version in the UK, particularly ... I first got addicted to flavoured ciders after trying Brothers Toffee Apple Cider which is pure gorgeousness in a bottle. Since then I've tried as many as I can, ranging from a the bland (Bulmers, ugh!) to this wonderful beverage- Koppaberg Mixed Fruit. The taste to begin with is absolutely gorgeous. My main complaint with apple based ciders, and most alcohol in general (lagers and wine for example) is that they taste very dry and heavy, or there's that sour definitive alcoholioc aftertaste to them. Koppaberg Mixed Fruit is completely different to that; it's fruity, light, more like drinking fizzy fruit juice or a sweet wine at most. It's almost ... Read the complete review

Kopparberg Mixed Fruit is like the unpopular little brother of Kopparberg Pear: everyone loves that and you can get it in a surpsingly number of pubs and clubs now. Never a party without Kopparberg Pear! Little Kopparberg Mixed Fruit just doesn't compare in availability but luckily, this review is based on taste and taste alone and I'd argue that it's far superior to it's big brother Pear. It has the advantages of not rendering your mouth and throat a dry desert like other ciders (a family trait, obviously) and the simple good taste of mixed fruit. It doesn't have the sicklyness of Brothers Strawberry & Pear cider, it's a very pleasent cider to ... Read the complete review
